Admittedly I had never been to Laguna Madre and upon walking in I was immediately greeted. The menu options are interesting as I didn't expect to find the type of food options that are available here. It varies from cod sandwiches, to salmon (very tasty), all the way to Fettuccine Alfredo. I didn't try the pasta but my brother did and he really enjoyed it (apparently brothers don't share food) I ordered the salmon with rice, green beans and cream corn. The cream corn was to die for. Step aside Rudy's, you've got competition! The older lady who was helping in the dining area (Kelly) was a sweetheart. She's incredibly kind and it's genuine. Which was a breath of fresh air. The food came out fresh and promptly. I was taken away by how attentive the manager was. The young man Jake was very quick to fix my order because my sides got mixed up. (I take blame as I substituted green beans for cream corn after paying) I know, I'm terrible. Kudos to the manager for informing me they're aware of the mistake and are already on top of it. I'd recommend this place to someone who is looking for a quick and refreshing bite.

If you like ordering at the drive thru, paying, and only THEN be handed a tag to go park, and your order will be out in 8 minutes, then after waiting 13 minutes my order came out, no apology, no discount for my waiting. Not impressive at all.
Food was good value.
Because of having the longer than expected wait spring on me AFTER I paid, this was my 1st, and probably only visit.
If you are on a schedule, or tight at lunch, I recommend going elsewhere. The Management has no respect for their Customer's limited time. -

It breaks my heart to write this. I am a frequent customer of this establishment and have always enjoyed the fresh taste of the shrimp tacos both fried and grilled, the shrimp gumbo, and catfish. On April 6th, I ventured in for my regular order. The moment I ordered the wrong thing off the menu, I knew my night would take a turn for the worst.
I ordered the shrimp and fish plate and a cup of shrimp gumbo. The fish this time was cod instead of the catfish that I usually order. I thought I would just try it since I love their food anyway.
The shrimp was excellent as usual. However, the the cod was absolutely disappointing and should not even be on the menu, let a known $9/pc. The gumbo was horrific. It was super oily and not as flavorful as it usually is.
Y'all lost it tonight please fix it. And get better fries!!!! -

Horrible wait! Told to go find a parking"somewhere" and they would find me. I ended up waiting 15-20mins and wasted most of my lunch break. Oh and paid $1 for each grilled shrimp, which were insanely small.
Never again! -

Seafood!!! The seafood here is delicious and I think it gives Sea Island a run for its money. My usuals are salmon with double rice or fried catfish with double rice and both are soooo good! My kids order the fried shrimp, the shrimp are pretty big for the price. My husband loves the shrimp gumbo and for dessert their HUGE chocolate chip/pecan cookies are good. Their garlic breads are really soft and tasty.
